Description
The radiant colors of a full autumn spread far across the Whitetail Woods, the entirety of the forest exploding forth in reds, oranges, and yellows. From above it appeared as a vast sea of color, one that undulated in response to the land hidden beneath it, a secret that the panorama of color kept quietly.
"Would ya' look at that!" said Applejack, looking out over the side of the basket, her hooves drawn up beneath her chest as she leaned way out over the side, "That's a right pretty picture…"
"It's so beautiful," added Twilight in a soft tone, "and I thought it was so lovely while walking the race last year. It seems so much more…vibrant, from up here."
Spike stood next to her, his arms folded across the edge of the wicker, holding himself up to look across the forest below.

I don't read much fanfic, but I'm definitely glad I read this one. No spoilers, but if you like a good ghost story, then this one might be for you. I have read this a couple of times now, and had always meant to do some art for it...better late than never I guess.
I'm trying an obscure style with these. I don't want to make things too detailed; which is really hard for me cause I could pour hours into details. The reason behind this decision is that I think it would take away from the atmosphere and mystery weaved within the story. When things are so defined, there's no mystery left. But when you have just color, shadow, and obscure shapes, things seem a lot more mysterious. At least to me anyway. This also gives me a bit more freedom in the pieces and cuts down on total time spent; meaning I could do more pieces quicker and not burn out as fast.
TL;DR Short description: Read the story, it's really good!
Numbers Game: 8-10 hrs (I had a hard time deciding how to do the trees)
Program: ArtRage Studio Pro & SketchBookExpress
MLP© Hasbro and
The Silent Shore: TheDescendant

I remember this awesome story. Not many authors can keep up the MLP atmosphere in a thriller story. The Descendant did it extraordinarily.
